Time flies and another year comes to its end.
Our team from SkyTEM and AU-AGRO took the chance to get out and fly one final time before the work moves fully into the office/workshop.
The question we wanted to answer was: Is it possible to use the gamma-ray sensor for peatland mapping in winter with shallow water tables?
Our working hypothesis is that the gamma ray technique is suitable to map peat thickness until a few meters depth. We want to compare and contrast the results in summer vs winter.
The data is promising we are looking forward to dig into it.
